UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's hockey team (6-5-0) will hit the road for the second time in three weekends when it travels to Worcester, Mass., for a two-game series against Holy Cross (7-4-2). The teams will face off at the Hart Center Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:05 p.m. before concluding their series Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
Holy Cross, which opened the season at 7-2-0, has gone 0-2-2 in its past four games. The Crusaders, who sit second in Atlantic Hockey with a 6-3-2 record, are 3-2-2 in the Hart Center and received one vote in this week's USCHO.com poll.

A TRIP ALONG THE ATLANTIC
During the course of the season, Penn State will play eight Atlantic Hockey opponents, the most from any conference. The Nittany Lions are currently 5-2-0 against AHA foes.
Penn State's AHA schedule consists of AIC (10/12-13), RIT (10/20), Army (10/26), Sacred Heart (10/27), Air Force (11/9-10), Holy Cross (12/7-8), Robert Morris (12/15, 12/28) and UConn (1/4-5).
PENALTY KILL SUCCESS
After surrendering six power-play goals in 19 chances to open the season, the Penn State penalty kill has gone 33-for-36 (.917) during the last seven games.
SPREADING THE WEALTH
Penn State has had at least five different goal scorers in three games this season (10/26 at Army, 10/27 at Sacred Heart, 11/10 vs. Air Force). Fifteen players have recorded at least two points, while 18 Nittany Lions have reached the scoresheet this season.
MODELS OF CONSISTENCY
Freshman David Glen (7g, 4a) has recorded at least one point in seven games this season, while linemate Kenny Brooks (1g, 5a) and sophomore Max Gardiner (2g, 7a) have recorded at least one point in six games. Freshman Curtis Loik and classmate Casey Bailey have notched at least one point in five games. Glen (3g, 4a) and Loik (2g, 2a) recorded team-leading four-game point-scoring streaks from Oct. 20-Nov. 3.
LIONS IN THE NCAA
Through Dec. 4 games, freshman David Glen is tied for sixth among the nation's rookies with 1.00 point per game, while freshman goaltender Matthew Skoff ranks 12th in the NCAA in save percentage (.934). As a team, Penn State has committed the second-most penalty minutes per game (17.5).
FRESHMAN IMPACT
All nine of Penn State's skating freshmen, who account for seven of the Nittany Lions' top-10 point-scorers, have recorded at least one point during the 2012-13 season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following this weekend's series, Penn State will return to Greenberg Ice Pavilion for its last home game of the semester against Robert Morris. Opening faceoff is set at 7:30 p.m.
