INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Petra Januskova (Ottawa, Canada) and junior Chelsea Utting (Peachtree City, Ga.) have been selected as at-large bids to the NCAA Doubles Tournament beginning Thursday, May 23.

The pairing is ranked No. 24 in the nation having made huge jumps late in the season knocking off several nationally-ranked duos. They have won five straight matches to end the regular season including wins against the No. 3 nationally ranked duo of Emina Bektas and Brooke Bolender of No. 6 Michigan as well as No. 9 Linda Abu Mushrefova and Nida Hamilton of No. 16 Northwestern.

Januskova and Utting have compiled a 14-4 record this spring going 8-2 in the conference. The duo ranked No. 42 in the preseason where they competed in the ITA/Riveria All-American Championships advancing to the round of 16.

This year's Nittany Lions duo is the third in program history to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Allison Barnet and Pilar Montgomery were the last to advance to the Tournament when they qualified for the 1997-1998 season.

The competition will run from May 23-27 at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex and Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Ill. The matches will be the best of three sets with regular scoring and a 12-point tiebreaker at six games all.
