UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The wait is over for Penn State women's volleyball fans who want to secure their seats in Rec Hall for match ups against six different 2012 NCAA Tournament participants. Season tickets for all 16 Nittany Lion regular-season home contests are on sale now.
In addition to welcoming NCAA Regional Semi-Finalist, Louisville for the Penn State Invitational, the Lions will also host Big Ten clashes against top-returners such as Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota, Ohio State, and National Semi-Finalist, Michigan.
Fans can purchase season tickets in two areas, including general admission and reserved sections. Tickets are priced as low as $56 for youths and $84 for adults. To secure your spot, call 1-800-NITTANY or come to the Athletics Ticket Office and get started in person. New applications are also currently being processed based on availability.
Coach Rose's team returns 11 letterwinners and all six starters to the court this season. Penn State kicks off the 2013 campaign at home this year with the Penn State Invitational, slated for August 30th and 31st. The Lions host Louisville and Syracuse after an exhibition match with Dabrowa, a premier professional volleyball team from Poland.
The Lions will then return home from the road to round out the non-conference schedule with the Penn State Classic, featuring Albany, Eastern Kentucky and Yale. Michigan State and Michigan will both visit Rec Hall for PSU's Big Ten home-opener, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28. After squaring off with Big Ten foes, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Iowa, Purdue, Indiana and Northwestern, Illinois visits on Saturday, Nov. 23 for Senior Day.
Penn State won its 15th Big Ten championship title in 2012 and went 33-3, capped off with the Lions' 10th trip to the NCAA National Semifinals in program history. In the last ten years, PSU has captured four National Championship titles and maintained a .917 winning percentage.
