UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Pledge your Allegiance and promote Nittany Lion spirit for the 2013 College Colors Day. Penn State fans are encouraged to wear their favorite college apparel throughout the day on August 30 and vote for Penn State to bring the Spirit Cup back to Happy Valley in 2013. The Spirit Cup contest will continue throughout the month of August leading up to August 30. The 2013 collegiate winner will receive the College Colors Day Spirit Cup and a $10,000 donation for their general scholarship fund. Fans who vote, can "spin to win" various discounts and gift cards.
Fans can share their Penn State spirit on Twitter or Instagram using hash tag #collegecolors.
College Colors Day is an annual event that celebrates the kick-off of the academic and athletic year. The event began in 2005 and continues to rapidly grow throughout the country each year. Over 150 collegiate competitors are participating this year.
The annual competition is presented by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), a division of IMG College, and NCAA Football.
