UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's soccer team is set to host a Silent Auction - Wine & Beer Tasting on October 18 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Minitab facility, 1829 Pine Hall Rd., in State College, Pa.
The Nittany Lions would like invite all interested parties to join them for this special evening. Silent auction items include U.S. Women's National Team memorabilia, golf packages, vacation packages, gift baskets and several other items.
All proceeds from the silent auction will assist the Penn State women's soccer program in their efforts to travel abroad in the spring.
Every four years, the Penn State women's soccer program plans an international trip. This year the 2013-2014 team is planning to travel to Argentina from March 8-16, 2014. This program tradition provides each player with a unique cultural experience, including community service work with local youth and the opportunity to compete against international opponents.
Tickets for the event are $25 each and can be purchased at psuwsoccerbc.org. Those who are unable to attend can also use psuwsoccerbc.org to make a monetary donation.
