UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's hockey team will return to Pegula Ice Arena Friday, Oct. 25 when it hosts RIT for a 7 p.m. faceoff. Following Friday night's game, the Nittany Lions will travel to Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center to play Vermont in the second annual Philadelphia College Hockey Faceoff Saturday (Oct. 26).

TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR PHILADELPHIA COLLEGE HOCKEY FACEOFF
Fans interested in purchasing tickets for the second annual Philadelphia College Hockey Faceoff at the Wells Fargo Center Saturday, Oct. 26 can click here (enter code PSUGRP13). Puck drop between Penn State and Vermont is set at 5 p.m.

HOW TO FOLLOW

TRIP ALONG THE ATLANTIC
The Nittany Lions (1-2-0 vs. AHA teams) are opening the season with four straight games and six of their first seven contests against teams from Atlantic Hockey. Penn State, which previously played Army and Air Force to start the season, will also play Robert Morris (Nov. 1) and Sacred Heart (Nov. 8).

LAST TIME VS. RIT
Goaltender PJ Musico turned aside 40 shots and forward Max Gardiner recorded a goal and an assist as Penn State spoiled RIT's homecoming game with a 3-2 victory in front of 10,556 fans at Rochester's Blue Cross Arena Oct. 20, 2012. Forwards Casey Bailey and Curtis Loik also scored for Penn State.

SCOUTING RIT
The Tigers enter the weekend at 0-3-1 after finishing 0-1-1 in a weekend series with Clarkson Oct. 18-19. RIT fell to the Golden Knights, 4-1, in the opening game before scoring two third-period goals en route to a 3-3 tie on Saturday night. The Tigers have been outscored by an 18-9 margin in four games in 2013-14.

DeROSA MAKES IMPACT
Freshman forward Ricky DeRosa tallied a goal in his first career game when he scored with 2:46 left in the third period in PSU's 3-1 loss to Air Force Oct. 19.

PSU DROPS PAIR TO AIR FORCE
The Nittany Lions fell to 1-2-0 on the season after being swept by Air Force in a two-game series at Colorado Springs, Colo., Oct. 18-19. Defenseman Luke Juha led Penn State with two points (1g, 1a) over the weekend, while Ricky DeRosa and Eric Scheid also scored.

STEADY SKOFF
Dating back to last season, goaltender Matthew Skoff is 7-3-0 in his last 10 games.

McADAM, WILLIAMSON MAKE PENN STATE DEBUTS
Freshman goaltender Eamon McAdam and rookie defenseman Mike Williamson played in their first career games Friday, Oct. 18. McAdam turned aside 27 shots in his collegiate debut.
