Fencers Head To Sacred Heart University This Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -

The Penn State fencers head to Fairfield, Conn. this weekend to compete against Sacred Heart University, Harvard University, Princeton University, Vassar University, and NYU. The nittany lions are excied to get back to competition after a nice break. Both the men and women's teams are set to compete.

Freshman Spencer Amann (Plano, Texas), senior David Freiman (The Woodlands, Texas), junior Maxwell Kleeman (Los Angeles, Calif.), sophomore Yasser Mahmoud (Quincy, Mass.), freshman Conor Shepard (Colleyville, Texas) and freshman Oskar Tang (Stockholm, Sweden) will all be competing in the men's epee event.

Sophomore Nobuo Bravo, freshman Howie Chan, senior Jeremy Goldstein, and junior David Gomez-Tanamachi will all be competing in the men's foil event.

Senior Adrian Bak (Las Vegas, Nev.), freshman Adam Lewicki (Oakland, N.J.), junior Pawel Puchalski (Lake Forest, Ill.), junior Alex Schneller (Billerica, Mass.), and sophomore Kaito Streets (Redwood City, Calif.) will all be competing in the men's saber event.

Competing in women's epee will be freshman Jessie Radanovich (Frisco, Calif.), sophomore Jessica O'Neil-Lyublinsky (North Salem, N.Y.), sophomore Rebecca Stanley (Willis, Texas), senior Annie Stephenson (Washington, D.C.), and freshman Sarah Waller (McKinney, Texas).

Those competing in women's foil include junior Alina Antokhina (Moscow, Russia), junior Kane Gladnick (Wynnewood, Pa.), sophomore Clarisse Luminet (Lyon, France), freshmen Desree Ortega-Furgeson (Wyoming, Mich.) and Daniella Ortiz (Bayside, N.Y.).

Those competing in women's saber include sophomore Brianne Cavaliere (Wayne, N.J.), senior and team captain Nicole Glon (State College, Pa.), freshman Teodora Kakhiani (Tbilisi, Georgia), graduate student Heather Nelson (Albany, New York) and junior Elizabeth Rapp (Portland, Ore.).
