UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The #11/9 Penn State Lady Lions (20-5, 11-2 Big Ten) host Northwestern (14-11, 4-8) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the penultimate home game of the regular-season. Fans will receive a Nittany Lion mini-magnetic bobblehead while supplies last. It is also jersey night and fans that wear their favorite Penn State jersey will get a $5 ticket. The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Mike Couzens and Vera Jones on the call.

PROMOTIONS: Fans that wear their favorite Penn State jersey to the game will receive a $5 ticket.

GIVEAWAY: Fans will receive a Nittany Lion mini-magnetic bobblehead while supplies last. Fans will get a voucher at the gate to redeem the bobblehead at the redemption locations located in the BJC. This giveaway is the sixth in a series of six giveaways this season.

LIMITED BAG POLICY: Penn State has implemented a limited bag policy at all home athletic events this season. One clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag per person will be permitted for medical needs, child care needs and general items as needed. Items that can fit in a pocket should remain in patrons' pockets (i.e. keys, cell phone, wallet, glasses, camera, sunscreen, lip balm, make-up). General items of this nature, including those that don't fit in patrons' pocket, can also be placed in a clear plastic one-gallon plastic bag. All clear bags will be inspected through the bag and article check stations as in prior years.

TV: The game will air on the Big Ten Network with Mike Couzens and Vera Jones on the call.

RADIO: The game is on WRSC 1390 locally with Jerry Fisher and Julia Trogele calling the action. The audio feed is available at www.GoPSUsports.com.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions used a 9-0 run late in the second half to post a 78-68 win over Wisconsin in the Eighth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State game in front of 12,585 fans, including 698 breast cancer survivors, Sunday. The Lady Lions honored a Pink Zone-record 698 survivors at halftime that represented 3,499 years and six months of survivorship. Senior guard Maggie Lucas continued her stellar play with a game-high 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting to go along with five rebounds, five assists and a steal. She was 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Fellow senior Ariel Edwards posted her third double-double of the season with 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass. Dara Taylor also reached double figures with 10 points, four assists and three steals, while junior Tori Waldner had 10 tallies to go along with four rebounds and two blocks.

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN: The Wildcats are 14-11 overall and 4-8 in conference play. Nia Coffey, who is back after missing one game due to an injury, paces the balanced Wildcat attack as she leads the team in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (7.8). Maggie Lyon accounts for 13.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. She has drained a team-best 46 shots from three-point range. Christen Inman also averages double figures at a 12.3 per game clip, while Lauren Douglas adds 11.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per outing.

ALL-TIME VERSUS THE WILDCATS: The Lady Lions are 31-7 all-time against Northwestern, including wins in the last seven contests. PSU is 17-1 in games played in Happy Valley. Penn State has the last 12 meetings in the Bryce Jordan Center. Earlier this season, the Lady Lions posted a 79-75 win at Northwestern on Super Bowl Sunday.

LAST TIME VERSUS NU: The Lady Lions saw a 20-point first-half lead evaporate, but got five consecutive points from Talia East to take the lead for good and then the Lions salted away the win from the free throw line as they held off Northwestern, 79-75, on Feb. 2. Maggie Lucas was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line and finished with a team-best 19 points to lead five Lady Lions in double figures. Ariel Edwards had a near double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals. Freshman Peyton Whitted tallied a career-high 11 points on a 5-of-6 shooting performance. She also added six rebounds in 13 minutes of action. East also reached double figures with 11 points with six rebounds and two assists as she battled foul trouble. Dara Taylor was the fifth Lady Lion to reach double figures with 11 tallies with five assists and three steals on the day.

FOURTH-STRAIGHT 20-WIN SEASON: With a 78-68 victory over Wisconsin on Feb. 16, the Lady Lions posted their fourth consecutive 20-win season. This is the 26th season 20-win season in the program's 50-year history. The win also marked the 10th home win of the season, giving the Lions four-straight 10-win home slates.

EDWARDS' EFFORT VERSUS BADGERS: Senior Ariel Edwards posted her third double-double of the season and fourth of her career with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Wisconsin on Feb. 16. Edwards also surpassed the 900-point mark for her career against the Badgers. She needs 92 points to become the 36th member of Penn State's 1,000-point club.

MORE LUCAS SCORING PROWESS: Maggie Lucas added her name to another exclusive scoring list with 32 tallies at Indiana on Feb. 13 to become the third player in school history with four seasons of 500 or more points. Lucas joins fellow 2,000-point scorers Kelly Mazzante and Susan Robinson as the only Lady Lions to accomplish the feat. Lucas is currently 20th on Penn State's single-season scoring list with 541 tallies this season. She needs 19 points to move into the list's Top 13.

2014 PINK ZONE AT PENN STATE: The Eighth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State was held Sunday, Feb. 16 in the Bryce Jordan Center against Wisconsin. The Lady Lions honored a Pink Zone-record 698 survivors at halftime that represented 3,499 years and six months of survivorship. The preliminary fundraising total for this year's Pink Zone is $196,364.50, which does not include donations from single-game ticket sales, t-shirt sales or the CharityBuzz.com online auction. Last year, the Lady Lions donated a record $260,000 to breast cancer causes. All totaled, the Lady Lions have donated more than $825,300 for breast cancer research and awareness in the first seven years. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C. The Lady Lions complete the road portion of the regular-season with a game at Nebraska on Monday at 7 p.m. as part of ESPN2's Big Monday. Penn State returns to the BJC for the regular-season finale and Senior Day against Michigan on Saturday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m.

Lady Lion Basketball single-game tickets are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY. Single-game tickets are $15 and $12 for adults and seniors and $9 and $7 for youth (12 and younger). The PNC Flex Books are available again this year for $99. The Flex Book gives fans 12 vouchers, 10 that can be redeemed in any combination for Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball tickets throughout the year and two extra vouchers for the Nittany Lions' Coaches Vs. Cancer game and the Lady Lions' Pink Zone game.

For the 15th time, Penn State will host the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds on March 23 and 25, 2014. All-session tickets are $30 for adults and $17 for youth and students. There is also an all-session group rate for groups of 20 or more of any age at $20 per package. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 1-800-NITTANY or visiting the Penn State athletics ticket office between the hours of 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
