Penn State Women Give Fencers Strong Lead at Nationals

COLUMBUS, Oh. -

The Penn State women's team had an outstanding showing over the first two days of the 2014 NCAA National Championships. After day one and two, Penn State were just a few points behind Princeton.

In the women's epee competition, freshman Jessie Radanovich headed to the final four in her event and completed the day tied for third. Junior Jessica O'Neill-Lyublinsky finished 13th in the event.

Sophomore Clarisse Luminet took home 7th in the women's foil competition. Alina Antokhina also compete and finished 13th.

Freshman Teodara Kakhiani also headed to the final four in her event and completed the day tied for third. Senior Nicole Glon finished in a strong 5th place.

The Nittany Lions continue on their hunt to improve on last year's third place finish at Nationals and is searching for its thirteenth National Championship, and its third in the last six years at this weekend's competition.
