WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -
The Penn State men's golf team concluded round one at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate in 15th place, posting a 303 team score at the River Course at Kingsmill.
Sophomore JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) leads the Nittany Lions with his 3-over 73 and tied-for-21st placing. Junior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) marked a 75 in the first 18 holes of play, tying for 47th overall.
Freshman Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) will enter day two tied-for-75th with a score of 77. Sophomore Chris Houston (Gilford, N.H.) tallied a 78, while junior Xander McDonald-Smith (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) will start the second round with an 80.
In a 27-team field, Eastern Michigan and Texas Tech will open round two tied-for-first with 288 team totals.
The first wave of shotgun tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday, followed by the second wave at 1:45 p.m. Live stats for the Middleburg Intercollegiate can be found at GolfStat.
