Penn State Tied for Seventh After Two Rounds at Bryan National Collegiate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Through two rounds at the Bryan National Collegiate, the Penn State women's golf team is tied for seventh . The Nittany Lions recorded a second round 297 to give them 597 strokes with one round remaining. The blue and white are 21 strokes above par, 15 strokes behind the leader. The third and final round is scheduled for Sunday, March 30 with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Junior Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) is tied for second after posting a second round 70. The junior is one shot under par and just one shot behind the leader. Senior Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) is tied for 30th after shooting back-to-back rounds of 76. Junior Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) recorded a second round 78, placing her in a tie for 48th.

"In this field, we are on top and ahead of many highly ranked teams," said head coach Denise St. Pierre. "This is a very competitive field. The course is challenging so tomorrow we have to manage our game and stay with our game plan, which is working."

Duke is leading the field through two rounds as they recorded a second round 290. They are six shots ahead of second place Florida State. Sierra Sims of Wake Forest holds the individual lead as she is two strokes under par.
