The Nittany Lions are coming off a successful 2013 campaign in which they qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the 19th consecutive season. Assistant coaches Ann Cook and Tim Wassell will join Walsh as members of the camp staff.

The Penn State Middle School Camp is designed to help individuals and teams with members entering grades five through eight enjoy soccer, enhance technical ability and prepare for the demands of the game at the next level. Sessions focus on skill development and tactical training as well as some of the same training methods that our Penn State players do to develop their game. Participants receive top instruction from Penn State staff and players. Goalkeepers receive separate, specialized coaching as well as game analysis. This camp offers a great balance of individual skills as well as team development and strategies through daily matches. Campers receive a camp shirt and a soccer ball.

The Penn State Soccer Identification Camp will continue to be the premier camp which provides an opportunity for campers to train in the same environment that has shaped Penn State into one of the elite programs in the country. Campers receive intensive technical and tactical training through various methods of challenging competition, including nightly full-field matches. An additional area of concentration is the development of positional skills and tactical training through functional groups designed to improve positional awareness and understanding. Participants receive top instruction from Penn State staff and players as well as some of the top college and Olympic Development coaches from across the country. Campers receive a soccer ball and a camp shirt. Goalkeepers receive separate, specialized coaching as well as game analysis from experienced instructors. Individuals and teams are invited.

The Penn State Team Camp is designed to provide varsity high school, junior varsity and/or club teams with the opportunity to train and compete together under the direction and guidance of college and Olympic Development Program coaches. Each team will have tailored tactical training sessions, technical training and match competition daily. In addition, campers and high school/club coaching staffs gain insight into the daily exercises and methods of the Penn State Women's Soccer program. Coaching instruction for high school/club coaches who attend with their team will be provided. Goalkeepers receive separate, specialized coaching as well as game analysis. Teams must send a minimum of 16 players to the camp. Campers receive a camp shirt.

Both the Identification Camp and the Team Camp are open to students entering grades nine through twelve. Regardless of the camp, players should bring the necessary practice gear, including soccer flats and rain suits. Shin guards are mandatory for all sessions. Players are also required to bring five white t-shirts to train in during the morning sessions.
