COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Jenna Chrismer (Mountain Top, Pa.) posted two goals and the No. 7 Penn State field hockey team defeated Big Ten foe Ohio State, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon. Senior Taylor Herold (Fredericksburg, Va.) had a goal and a career-high two assists, giving her 100 points for her career.
"It was a total team effort today with some great goals by Jenna (Chrismer), Taylor (Herold) and Emilee (Ehret)," said head coach Charlene Morett-Curtiss. "I thought we showed a lot of grit playing two games on the road in the Big Ten this weekend."
Penn State improved to 8-2 and 2-1 in Big Ten play, while Ohio State dropped to 3-6 and 0-2 in conference action. The Nittany Lions held a 19-11 advantage in shots and a 7-5 edge in penalty corners. Chrismer had her fourth multi-goal game of her career and third of the season.

With less than five minutes to go, Ohio State had another penalty corner attempt, but a big save by redshirt senior Kylie Licata (Mountain Top, Pa.) kept the Buckeyes off the board. The Nittany Lions held the Buckeyes for the remainder of the contest to secure the win.
