UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's soccer team welcomes Wisconsin in a Sunday battle on Big Ten Network at 2 p.m. The Nittany Lions host their annual THON Soccer Game as well as Senior Day.

ADMISSION & BAG POLICY
Fans attending Penn State soccer matches at Jeffrey Field will have to comply with Penn State University's Bag Policy. Fans are advised that no backpacks or briefcases maybe brought into the stadium and all bags must be searched. For more information visit the Safety Policy SY44 Page or Penn State's Bag Policy Page.

NITTANY LIONS CELEBRATE THON
The Nittany Lions will host their annual THON Soccer Game Sunday against the Badgers, welcoming the families of children with cancer. Penn State men's soccer supports THON every year with various fundraisers and taking part in the dance competition during the 46-hour annual event held at the Bryce Jordan Center. Last year, Christian Kaschak was selected as an independent dancer for the 46-hour marathon, which raised over $13 million dollars for pediatric cancer awareness and research.

SIX SENIORS GET AN EARLY SENDOFF
While Sunday is not Penn State's final regular season match at Jeffrey Field, it is the last one that falls on a weekend. As such, the squad will honor its six departing seniors--Eli Dennis, Randy Falk, Owen Griffith, Mikey Minutillo, Mike Robinson and Andrew Wolverton--in a post-match ceremony with family and friends on hand.

ABOUT THE BADGERS
Wisconsin (3-9-2, 0-5-0 Big Ten) snapped a three-game winless stretch and won its second game in five matches after starting the season 1-7-1. Last time out, Carl Scheider scored his first goal of the year on a header in the 65th minute to give UW a 1-0 win over Milwaukee.

The young Badgers have scored 15 goals (1.07 per game), while conceding 23 (1.64 per game) this season. UW has fired less than 10 shots a game (9.6), while allowing its opponents to take an average of 13.3 attempts.

Mark Segbers leads the team in goals (4) with Tom Barlow (4), while each is atop their point total with 12 and 10, respectively. In net, Adrian Remeniuk has started eight games with a 1.59 GAA and a .682 save percentage, while Casey Beyers has five starts, a 1.55 GAA and .690 save percentage.

LIONS GO AHEAD, BUT FALL TO WVU
Wednesday against West Virginia just was not Penn State's night. Despite a Connor Maloney goal in the 49th minute, WVU's Andy Bevin scored two goals in an nine-minute span as PSU was unable to equalize. The Nittany Lions' Mikey Minutillo and Mark Wadid each hit the crossbar in the first half and Minutillo's point-blank 86th-minute chance was saved by WVU's Lee Johnston.

NITTANY LION BREAK SCORING DROUGHT
In losses to Maryland and Michigan State, Penn State was shut out in back-to-back games for the first time since Sept. 25-29, 2012 against Lehigh and Indiana (both 1-0 losses). The Nittany Lions avoided their first three-game scoreless streak since Oct. 9-16, 2011 (at Michigan State, at Akron and vs. Northwestern) when Connor Maloney scored in the 49th minute. The streak ended at 239 minutes, 35 seconds.

MALONEY DOES IT AGAIN
Connor Maloney has been an incredible offensive force for the Nittany Lions this season with nine goals and two assists for 20 points. Maloney leads the conference in goals, points and game-winning goals (5). Maloney can be PSU's first double-digit scorer since 2010 when Corey Hertzog scored 20 goals for the Nittany Lions.

LOOKING TO SNAP A STREAK
The Nittany Lions are enduring their first three-game losing streak since Oct. 9-16, when PSU suffered three straight 1-0 losses to Michigan State, Akron and Northwestern. PSU's last four-game skid came 11 years ago with five straight losses (Oct. 5-26, 2003).

THE BIG TEN TITLE RACE
Penn State currently sits atop the Big Ten standings with 12 points from six games, ahead of Michigan State (10 points, five games) and Maryland (10 points, six games). Ohio State is also within striking distance with nine points from five games. The Nittany Lions are percentage points behind MSU, but have already faced six of the next seven teams in the conference. Here's how the race breaks down.

PSU: vs. WIS (9th), at NU (T-5th)
MSU: vs. NU (T-5th), vs. U-M (T-5th), at IND (7th)
MD: vs. OSU (4th), at Rutgers (8th)
OSU: vs. RU (8th), at MD (T-2nd), at U-M (T-5th)

B1G REGULAR-SEASON SUCCESS
Penn State completed game six of eight on Saturday, Oct. 18 in its quest for a third straight Big Ten title. Over the past two seasons, the Nittany Lions are 9-3-0 in regular-season games, which determine the Big Ten Championship.

Since Penn State's 0-6-0 regular season in 2011, the Nittany Lions are 12-4-2 in Big Ten contests (3-1-2 in 2012, 5-1-0 in 2013, 4-2-0 in 2014). Penn State's next Big Ten opponent is last place Wisconsin, who Penn State has beaten three straight times.

NEXT TIME OUT
A crucial matchup awaits PSU next Sunday that has Big Ten championship implications as the Lions travel to Northwestern. The match could be a potential clincher depending on the results of this weekend's matches or potential spoiler for someone else as the regular season winds down. Game time is set for 2 p.m. ET at Lakeside Field.
