Laura Bowman (Minnetonka, Minnesota) was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Player of the Week for Nov. 10 after a four-goal weekend at Colgate.
This is the first conference honor of Bowman's career.
Bowman scored two goals in both wins against Colgate, helping the Nittany Lions to the program's first road series sweep. Bowman finished the weekend with a +3 rating after scoring four of her six goals this season, including both game-tying goals in Hamilton, New York. In the 3-1 series finale win, she scored back-to-back goals, including a tally on the powerplay, for the come-from-behind win and threw a season-best seven shots on net. She netted the game-tying goal and took five shots in the 6-4 weekend-opening victory.
Penn State resumes CHA play this weekend at RIT with games on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 3 p.m.
