Penn State at Illinois Set For Noon Kick on ESPN2

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., November 16, 2014 - Penn State's final road game of the season, at Illinois on Nov. 22, has been set for a 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT kick. ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. ET airtime) and GoPSUsports.com will air the contest from Memorial Stadium.

Penn State and Illinois will be meeting for the 22nd time. The Nittany Lions hold a 17-4 on-field edge in the series, winning the last three meetings. The teams have met every season since 2005. The Illini, members of the Big Ten West Division, will visit Beaver Stadium on Oct. 31, 2015, before rotating off Penn State's schedule for two years.

The Nittany Lions have won four of their last five games away from Beaver Stadium, including a 3-1 mark this season under Coach James Franklin.

Penn State (6-4) is coming off a 30-13 victory over Temple, as the Nittany Lions ran for a season-high 254 yards and forced five turnovers. The Illini fell to Iowa, 30-14, on Saturday.

Penn State will be making its seventh appearance of the season on an ESPN network when it visits Illinois. Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 10 seasons and 251 of the last 253 contests overall have been on TV. All Penn State football and men's and women's basketball games air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

Penn State football average home attendance is up 5,870 per game this fall compared to the first six games of 2013, for an average of 101,909 this season. More than 6,000 new Penn State football season tickets and nearly 80,000 single game and group tickets have been sold this year.
