Postgame Notes vs. Samford

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
-Freshman guard Lindsey Spann posted her sixth double-digit scoring game of the season vs. Samford with 10 points. .
-Spann made a career-high four free throws and tied her career high with five assists and three steals.
-Sophomore guard Sierra Moore tied her career high with 17 points vs. Samford. It is her fourth straight and fifth overall double-digit effort on the season.
-Moore made a team and career high eight free throws on 10 attempts. Moore had previously made four free throws on two occasions, including this season vs. Seton Hall.
-Moore also collected a season-best two steals.
-Sophomore Jenny DeGraaf posted her first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Her previous high for rebounds in a game was five vs. Seton Hall earlier this season.
-DeGraaf made a career-best five field goals on a career-high nine attempts.
-Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell tied her career-high with two blocks vs. Samford. She previously had two blocks at Iowa on Jan. 5, 2014.
-Senior Tori Waldner hauled in a career-best 12 rebounds vs. Samford. Her previous best of 11 rebounds occurred on two occasions; vs. Towson (11/14/14) and vs. Texas A&M (12/15/13).
TEAM NOTES
-Penn State is now 0-1 all-time vs. Samford.
-The Lady Lions shot a season-best 76.2 percent from the free throw stripe. Their 16 made free throws tied a season-high, set against Seton Hall on Nov. 16.
-Penn State held Samford 13 points in the first half, the fewest allowed by PSU this season. It was the lowest scoring output for a Lady Lion's opponent since NJIT scored nine points in the first half on Dec. 23, 2012.
-Penn State played its first overtime contest since a 113-104 setback on Dec. 2, 2010 at Boston College.
-The Lady Lions are now 20-17 in program history in overtime games. They have played at least one overtime game in 21 of their 51 seasons.
-Penn State owns a 9-5 record in regular season neutral site games under head coach Coquese Washington.
-Penn State will conclude its three-game road swing with a trip to No. 22 Syracuse Thursday, Dec. 4 for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Lady Lions and Orange will tip off at 7 p.m. inside the Carrier Dome.
