Penn State Men Sweep Competition

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Penn State fencing team attended the Sacred Heart Tradition Tournament today and saw great success among both teams. The men's team in particular left the tournament undefeated, going 4-0 against Sacred Heart, Harvard, Vassar, and NYU. The women's team finished 3-1 only falling to Harvard.

Some stand out performances for the women's team include senior Alina Antokhina (Moscow, Russia) and junior Clarisse Luminet (Lyon, France) who both went undefeated in women's foil. Freshman Kathryn Charpin (Setauket, N.Y.) went 9-3 for the day in women's saber.

Stand out performances for the men's team include sophomore Oskar Tang (Stockholm, Sweden who went undefeated in men's epee, junior Nobuo Bravo (San Francisco, Calif.) who went undefeated in men's foil, and Khalil Thompson (Teaneck, N.J.) who went 8-1 in men's saber.
