UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Penn State Lady Lions (3-10, 0-2) will host Illinois (9-4, 0-1) for their Big Ten home opener and First Responders Day on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Kids Funzone will be on the concourse with face painter, airbrush tattoos, caricature artist and a create-a-station.

TICKET PROMOTIONS

  • First Responders Day (EMS, Fire & Police) - Two free tickets for each first responder with the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for $5 each.
  • Subway Full Court 4 Pack - Four tickets, one voucher for four 6" subs and four 21 oz. fountain drinks at any of the seven State College Subway locations for just $40.

    KIDS FUNZONE

  • The Lady Lions will have their Kids Funzone on the concourse for Sunday's game.
  • The Funzone will feature a face painter, airbrush tattoos, caricature artist and a create-a-station.

    SOUVENIR KEY CHAIN REDEMPTION

  • Sunday is the second game in which fans can redeem their B1G Championship Key Ring voucher that were given out at the Albany game on Nov. 16.
  • Vouchers can be redeemed at Portal 3.
  • Vouchers can also be redeemed at the Jan. 10 (Rutgers), Jan. 22 (Indiana) and Jan. 25 (Northwestern) games.

    BAG POLICY

  • No backpacks or duffle bags are permitted during varsity athletic events, other athletic and non-athletic events at this venue.
  • No bags or purses larger than 8.5"x11"x6" will be permitted.
  • All other bags will be searched upon entrance to the facility.

    LAST TIME OUT

  • The Lady Lions ran into a hot-shooting Michigan team on the way to an 89-53 loss in Ann Arbor Sunday.
  • Freshman guard Lindsey Spann paced the Lady Lions with 15 points via a 6-for-12 effort from the field as she led Penn State for the ninth time in 13 games.
  • Sierra Moore also reached double figures for the Lady Lions with 11 tallies to go along with three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
  • Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell added nine points, six rebounds and a pair of assists, while Candice Agee had seven points and three boards.

    SCOUTING ILLINOIS

  • The Illini are 9-4 on the season, but are coming off of 62-55 loss to Purdue in their Big Ten opener on Dec. 28. Illinois has notable wins over Memphis, Kentucky and Virginia this season.
  • Ivory Crawford leads the way for Illinois, accounting for 16.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She also has a team-best 34 steals.
  • Chatrice White also averages double figures with 15.0 per game clip to go along with 7.6 rebounds per outing, Kyley Simmons adds a 9.3 scoring average.

    ALL-TIME VERSUS THE ILLINI

  • The Lady Lions are 30-14 all-time against Illinois with a 16-2 mark in home games.
  • Penn State has won the last seven meetings with the Wolverines, including an 82-76 win in the only meeting between the squads last season.
  • PSU has won the last 11 games played at the Bryce Jordan Center.
  • The Illini did not play in Happy Valley last season. In the last game in University Park, the Lady Lions posted a 95-62 win on Feb. 20, 2013.

    LAST TIME VERSUS ILL

  • The Lady Lions rallied from a 12-point first half deficit with a strong second frame on the way to an 82-76 win at Illinois on Jan. 9, 2014.
  • Ariel Edwards posted her second career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Peyton Whitted nearly had the first double-double of her career with a personal-bests bests of nine tallies and 10 boards.
  • Edwards was 7-for-12 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
  • Maggie Lucas also reached the 20-point mark with 24 tallies, including a 10-for-10 mark from the free throw line.
  • Dara Taylor chipped in 17 points, going 6-for-11 from the field. She also added four assists and two steals.

    GOODRICH DUO REUNITED

  • Sophomore guard Keke Sevillian will be reunited with high school teammate and current member of the Fightining Illini Taylor Gleason.
  • The pair were members of the Goodrich Martians' back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013.
  • Sevillian accounts for 2.5 points per game for the Lady Lions, while Gleason has appeared in eight games for Illinois.

    SPANN EARNS FRESHMAN WEEKLY HONORS

  • Freshman guard Lindsey Spann was selected as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the week-ending Dec. 29.
  • She is the first Lady Lion to win Freshman of the Week accolades since Maggie Lucas earned the honor on Feb. 28, 2011.
  • Spann had a game-high 22 points in Penn State's Big Ten opener at Iowa on Sunday.
  • She connected on a career-high four three-pointers and six free throws for her fourth 20-point performance in her last five games.
  • Spann also pulled in five rebounds and dished out four assists against the Hawkeyes.

    FORCE IN THE POST

  • Junior center Candice Agee has proven to be a force in the post this season.
  • In fact with one swat at Michigan on Jan. 1, Agee now has 25 blocks on the season, surpassing her career-best season total of 21 from 2013-14.
  • Agee ranks sixth in the Big Ten in blocked shots with a 1.9 per game average.

    The 2014-15 Penn State Lady Lion Basketball season is presented by Kish Travel and Kish Insurance. The Lady Lions head to Wisconsin on Tuesday for a game that will air on the Big Ten Network at 9 p.m. (ET). PSU returns to the BJC to face Rutgers on Saturday at noon. It's another Subway Full Court 4 Pack game. It's also Penn State Alumni Association Day, fans that present their Alumni Association membership card and receive a $5 ticket.

    Lady Lion Basketball single-game are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY. Single-game tickets range from $10-17 for adults and seniors and $5-11 for youth (12 and younger). The PNC Flex Books are $120 and give fans 12 vouchers, 10 that can be redeemed in any combination for Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball tickets throughout the year and two extra vouchers for the Nittany Lions' Coaches Vs. Cancer game and the Lady Lions' Pink Zone game.
