UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Penn State Lady Lions (6-21, 3-13) return to the Bryce Jordan for a two-game homestand to close out the regular season beginning with Ohio State (19-9, 11-5) on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game is Dollar Dog Night and Penn State Faculty/Staff Night.
TICKET PROMOTIONS
- Dollar Dog Night - All hot dogs at the BJC concession stands are $1.
- Penn State Faculty/Staff Night - Penn State employees show your Penn State ID and receive a free ticket and the ability to purchase up to three additional tickets for $5 each.
GIVEAWAY
- Fans will receive a Tori Waldner decal at the gates while supplies last.
BAG POLICY
- No backpacks or duffle bags are permitted during varsity athletic events, other athletic and non-athletic events at this venue.
- No bags or purses larger than 8.5"x11"x6" will be permitted.
- All other bags will be searched upon entrance to the facility.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Lady Lions struggled to find their shooting groove on the way to a 65-34 loss at #5/5 Maryland Monday night.
- Junior center Candice Agee posted a near double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
- Agee also had four blocks on the night.
- Freshman guard Lindsey Spann added eight points, five assists and two steals.
- Sophomore Peyton Whitted chipped in four points and five rebounds off of the bench.
- The Terps jumped out to an early 10-0 lead and never looked back as the Lions connected on a season-low 15 field goals.
SCOUTING OHIO STATE
- The Buckeyes are 19-9 overall and 11-5 in Big Ten Conference play.
- Freshman phenom Kelsey Mitchell leads NCAA Division I in scoring at a 24.6 clip, while also leading the team in assists (4.1) and steals (1.8).
- Ameryst Alston completes the high-scoring tandem, averaging 20.4 points per game, which is third in the Big Ten. She also accounts for 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while connecting on 47.4 percent of her shots.
- Shayla Cooper also averages double figures at 11.5 points per game, while Alexa Hart adds 10.3 points per outing to go along with team bests of 8.7 rebounds and 3.7 blocks.
ALL-TIME VERSUS THE BUCKEYES
- The Lady Lions are 36-23 all-time against Ohio State, including wins in five of the last seven outings.
- Penn State is 19-6 all-time in home games against the Buckeyes with wins in its last three home contests.
- The Lady Lions last time the teams met the BJC, Penn State picked up a 66-42 win on Jan. 16, 2014.
LAST TIME VERSUS OSU
- Despite missing their leading scorer Lindsey Spann due to illness, the Lady Lions had a solid effort at Ohio State but came up short in a 69-60 loss on Jan. 18.
- Sophomore Sierra Moore had a team-high 16 points to pace the Lady Lion effort.
- Moore, who was 7-for-15 from the field, also snagged nine rebounds and dished out five assists.
- Junior center Candice Agee notched her second career double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
- Agee added four blocks, two assists and a steal.
- Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell moved into the starting lineup and responded with 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals in a career-high 39 minutes.
- Senior Tori Waldner added nine points and tied her career high with three assists, while Keke Sevillian had eight points.
KATHY SLEDGE TO PERFORM AT PINK ZONE
- Grammy-nominated artist and member of the singing group Sister Sledge, Kathy Sledge, will be performing at the Ninth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State presented by Mount Nittany Health.
- Sledge will sing the National Anthem and will perform at halftime as part of the celebration of the breast cancer survivors in attendance.
- Sledge and her sisters formed Sister Sledge and recorded #1 hits "Mama Never Told Me" and "We Are Family" in the 1970s.
- "We Are Family" earned the group a Grammy nomination and spurred the album of the same name to go double platinum.
- The "We Are Family" album also turned out hit songs "Lost in Music" and "He's the Greatest Dancer."
- Sledge, a native of Philadelphia, started her solo career in 1992 with singles "Take Me Back to Love Again" and "All of My Love."
BETTER WITH AGE(E)
- During her first two seasons on the University Park campus, junior Candice Agee learned from some of the top post players in school history.
- The 6-foot-6 center watched Nikki Greene, Mia Nickson and Talia East dominate the paint.
- This season, it is Agee that has matured into one of the top post players in the Big Ten.
- She is averaging 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds this season, compared to her 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game through her first two seasons.
- Agee has swatted 51 shots in 2014-15, which is 17 more than the 34 blocks she had in her first two years combined.
- She had eight steals and 10 assists through two seasons in the blue and white, but this year has nabbed 26 steals and handed out 28 assists.
- She is also making 4.3 field goals per game, compared to her 1.1 field goals per game average during her first two seasons.
KALIYAH IS A KEY
- Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell has been a key component in Penn State's wins this season.
- Mitchell is averaging 13.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals in the Lady Lions' wins.
- She has accumulated three double-doubles in victories and has four double-digit rebounding performances.
GIVING A HELPING HAND
- Over the last four games, Penn State has been in a mood for helping.
- The Lady Lions are averaging 15.8 assists per game and have assisted on two-thirds of their made field goals.
- They handed out a season-high 22 assists against Minnesota on Feb. 15, just one game after dishing out 19 helpers vs. Michigan State.
- Penn State has seen three players log at least four assists four times this season.
- Freshman Lindsey Spann handed out five of the team's nine assists on Monday at Maryland.
SPANN MOVES UP FRESHMAN SCORING TOP 10
- With eight points at Maryland on Feb. 23, Lindsey Spann moved into sole possession of seventh place on the Penn State's freshman season scoring list.
- She broke a tie with Alex Bentley (365; 2009-10) for the seventh spot.
- Spann has 373 points in her rookie season.
- She needs 38 points to tie Corinne Gulas (411; 1979-80) for sixth and 42 tallies to tie Suzie McConnell (415; 1984-85) for fifth.
The 2014-15 Penn State Lady Lion Basketball season is presented by Kish Travel and Kish Insurance. The Lady Lions close out the regular season with the Senior Day and Pink Zone game versus Wisconsin on Sunday at 2 p.m. Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge will be performing the National Anthem and at halftime as we honor breast cancer survivors. We will also recognize seniors Tori Waldner and Molly Dincher pregame.

The Ninth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State presented by Mount Nittany Health will be held Sunday, March 1 in the Bryce Jordan Center when the Lady Lions take on Wisconsin at 2 p.m. Last year, the Lady Lions donated a record $310,000 to breast cancer causes. All totaled, the Lady Lions have donated more than $1.135 million for breast cancer research and awareness in the first eight years. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C.
