Eight Penn State Wrestlers Ranked by Intermat

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, continues its trend of having eight individuals ranked nationally by Intermat. The Nittany Lions have moved to No. 5 on Intermat's Tournament Power Index (TPI) in advance of their Sunday showdown with top-ranked Iowa.

Junior Jordan Conaway (Abbottstown, Pa.) is ranked No. 8 at 125 with a 19-3 record. Sophomore Jimmy Gulibon (Latrobe, Pa.) is now ranked No. 7 at 133 with a 17-4 mark. Sophomore Zack Beitz (Mifflintown, Pa.) is 13-6 at 149 and ranked No. 18. Senior Dylan Alton (Mill Hall, Pa.) is ranked No. 8 at 157 and is 8-3 overall.

Senior Matt Brown (West Valley City, Utah) is ranked No. 3 at 174 and is 19-2 on the year. Red-shirt freshman Matt McCutcheon (Apollo, Pa.) is ranked No. 17 at 184 with a 20-9 mark. Junior Morgan McIntosh (Santa Ana, Calif.) is 20-2 at 197 and is now ranked No. 4. Senior Jimmy Lawson (Toms River, N.J.) is ranked No. 6 at 285 with an 11-0 record.

Penn State is 10-2 overall, 6-2 in Big Ten duals. The Nittany Lions return to action this Sunday, Feb. 8, when they host Iowa in the Bryce Jordan Center at 1 p.m. Tickets are sold out and the dual will air live on the Big Ten Network.
