Nittany Lions in 3rd as NCAA Fencing Championships Continue

COLUMBUS, Oh. - As the first day of NCAA Championships conclude, the men started off the weekend with their competition. They will continue their events tomorrow March 20th.

As a team, Penn State is currently ranked 3rd keeping the competition tight with Columbia and Ohio State University. After three rounds, these are the current individual standings for Penn State.

Men's Saber: Freshman Andrew Mackiewicz (Westwood, Mass.) is holding down the #2 spot with junior Kaito Streets not too far behind in 4th.

Men's Epee: Sophomore Oskar Tang (Stockholm, Sweden) is currently in 12th while sophomore Conor Shepard (Colleyville, Texas), 14th.

Men's Foil: Junior Nobuo Bravo (San Francisco, Calif.) is locked in at 3rd with senior David Gomez-Tanamachi (Mexico City, Mexico) in 13th.
