The doubleheader between Penn State and Northwestern that was originally scheduled to take place at 6/8 p.m. will NOW START at 5:30/7:30 p.m. Fans coming to Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field please plan accordingly.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State softball team has rescheduled its three game set with Northwestern for a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. and the second game to start at approximately 8 p.m. The series finale will then take place on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The B1G opener was initially set to get underway Friday at 6 p.m., with single games throughout the weekend, but snow accumulations forced the postponement of game one to Saturday. Intercollegiate athletics staff will continue to monitor the weather as well as the field and facility conditions to ensure the utmost safety of its student-athletes, staff and spectators.
Those with tickets to Friday's contest can redeem their voucher for either contest on Saturday or can chose to attend a future home game on the schedule.
2015 team posters and schedule magnets will still be given away to fans coming out to Nittany Lion softball Park for the B1G opener.
