WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) is tied for 11th heading into the final round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate after shooting a 143 through the first 36 holes of the Kingsmill Resort River Course. Penn State remains tied for ninth in the 29-team field with a 587 (292-295).
Freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) moved up 30 spots in day two of the tournament to sit tied for 30th and will tee off Tuesday morning with 146 strokes. Sophomore Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) and senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) both carded 149 two-round scores.
Sophomore Cody Cox (Mildford, Pa.) posted an 81 to bring his tally to a 164.
Maryland and Loyola University (Maryland) are currently tied for first with team scores of 573.
