LAST TIME OUT: No. 11 Penn State 10, Drexel 3 (March 22)
TNo. 11 Penn State never trailed in a 10-3 victory at Drexel on Sunday afternoon. Junior midfielder Madison Cyr (Westminster, Md.) tallied a game-high three goals as Penn State out-shot Drexel, 34-13.

The Nittany Lions dominated play with a wide margin in the shot column, but were frustrated by Drexel goalkeeper Teresha Bradley who made 14 saves to keep the Dragons in contention. Penn State (6-3) opened a 3-0 lead early in the opening eight minutes before Drexel (2-7) got on the board.

Jess Loizeaux (Mullica Hills, N.J.), Kelly Lechner (Silver Spring, Md.) and Katie O'Donnell (West Chester, Pa.) registered the first three goals before Drexel's Milan White scored with 20:14 remaining in the first.

Tatum Coffey (Toms River, N.J.) and Cyr tallied back-to-back markers at 14:24 and 11:52, respectively for a 5-1 advantage. Drexel's Lacey Aghazarian answered at 9:38 to make it 5-2 before Cyr scored the final goal of the half for a 6-2 lead. Penn State owned a 19-4 shot advantage in the opening 30 minutes. Coffey finished the day with two goals.

MCCORMICK RISING UP THE CHARTS
Maggie McCormick is on pace to set a Penn State career record for assists, currently holding the second spot with 113 dishes. McCormick is two helpers away from matching Julie Tice (115, 1997-2000).

For her career, McCormick has 227 points split between 114 goals and 113 assists. The 227 points are good for fifth place at Penn State, seventh behind fourth (234, Beth Thompson, 1983-86). McCormick (114 goals) needs six goals to crack the top 15 goals chart.

BALANCED SCORING
The Nittany Lions have received goals from 14 different sources this season with six different double-digit scorers in all. Madison Cyr (17) leads the bunch followed by Steph Lazo (16), Kelly Lechner (14), Maggie McCormick (14), Tatum Coffey (14) and Jenna Mosketti (13).

Three Nittany Lions are on the cusp of 10 goals: Jess Loizeaux (9), Abby Smucker (8) and Katie O'Donnell (7).

CYR COMING ON STRONG
Madison Cyr had a slow start to the 2015 season, but has come on strong tallying eight goals in the past three games. Cyr has a team-high 17 goals with nine of those coming in the first six contests.

LAZO LEADING THE LIONS
Despite missing two games with injury, Penn State sophomore Steph Lazo is among the team's leader in goals with 16.

Lazo had a five-goal game against Lehigh and a hat trick against Bucknell before scoring two vs. Duquesne. She found the back of the net once more against Virginia in February and added another hat trick vs. Loyola on March 7.

In all, Lazo has 18 points on the season, second to Maggie McCormick (33, 14-19). Entering 2015, Lazo had only one goal to her name.

CYR, MCCORMICK NAMED TO TEWAARATON AWARD WATCH LIST

The Tewaaraton Award, presented by Under Armour, honors the best men's and women's collegiate lacrosse player.

This is the fifth straight season the Nittany Lions have had a representative on the preseason watch list. Potential additions to the watch list will be announced March 19 and April 9 before the first cutdown to 25 players on April 23.
