Women's Volleyball to Make Six TV Appearances in 2015

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State women's volleyball is set to make six appearances on national television during the 2015 season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference. A showing on ESPNU as well as five other appearances on the Big Ten Network highlight the Nittany Lions' TV schedule.

Penn State makes its first appearance on the Big Ten Network at home in Rec Hall Saturday, Sept. 5, taking on Stanford at 8 p.m. in the second match of the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge. The Big Ten Network will also televise back-to-back Big Ten conference matches at home, beginning with Penn State's conference home-opener against Wisconsin Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.

Next up, fans can catch the Nittany Lions in action against Nebraska, Friday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. Penn State's road matches at Illinois Friday, Oct. 9 and Michigan, Wednesday, Oct. 21 will also air live on BTN.

The Nittany Lions will make an appearance on ESPNU in a midweek matchup on the road at Ohio State Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. The matchup in Columbus will also re-air on tape delay Tuesday, Nov. 1 on ESPN2.

A complete Big Ten conference TV schedule featuring all matches available online via BTN2Go will be released in August. Penn State returns four starters and 12 letterwinners from last year's NCAA national championship squad.

AVCA All-Americans Aiyana Whitney and Ali Frantti join Big Ten Freshman of the Year Haleigh Washington and three-year starter Megan Courtney in the group of veteran starters.

The Nittany Lions won their second consecutive and seventh overall NCAA national title in 2014. PSU swept past Brigham Young University in the national finals to capture the Nittany Lions' sixth crown in the last eight years.
