UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lions and Illinois meet in a Halloween matchup with a kick time slated for noon on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. The network will be determined Sunday.
The Penn State-Illinois contest also airs on the Penn State Sports Network (10:30 a.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com. The Illinois game will mark the Nittany Lions' seventh appearance of the season on an ESPN/ABC network.
Penn State is 17-5 all-time against Illinois, including an 8-1 mark in home games. The Nittany Lions dropped a 16-14 decision in Champaign a year ago despite 137 rushing yards and a touchdown from Akeel Lynch. Chris Godwin opened the scoring with an 18-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. However, a 36-yard field goal by David Reisner with eight seconds remaining lifted the Illini to the win.
The Nittany Lions travel to Baltimore to face Maryland at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. pregame) and GoPSUsports.com.
