Weber Tabbed as Finalist for Women's College Boot Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Senior Mallory Weber (Novi, Mich.) was tabbed as a finalist for the 2015 Soccer News Net College Boot award, which recognizes the top female collegiate soccer student-athlete. Fans from across the nation will be able to vote for the top collegiate women's soccer student-athlete. Voting is now underway and will continue until Dec. 16.

Weber, a two-time All-Big Ten first team honoree, leads the Nittany Lions with 26 points. On the year, Weber has played in all 22 matches, including 21 starts, scored eight goals and tallied her team-leading 10 assists. She has also recorded one goal and one assist in three matches this season.

In the Penn State record books, Weber ranks 10th with 100 points, 10th in goals (36), tied for seventh in assists (28), sixth in shots on goal (94) and ninth in game-winning goals (14).

Online fan voting will account for 40% of the total toward the award. The remaining 60% of the vote will be cast by the Soccer News Net editorial staff. The winner of the popular vote will receive the Soccer News Net Supporter's Choice Award. Winners will be announced in January.
