Penn State Track & Field to Host Blue, White Intrasquad Meet

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion track and field squads will finally get a chance to show the hard work they have been putting in over the summer and throughout the fall semester this weekend, competing at the annual Blue-White Instrasquad Meet, Saturday at Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. Competition is slated to get underway at 8:30 p.m., with a special indoor javelin competition set to be contested at Holuba Hall Friday night (Dec. 11). Meanwhile, the remainder of the meet will get underway at 1:00 p.m., at Ashenfelter III Indoor Track on Saturday followed by the track events at 2:30 p.m.

The Blue-White Meet is scored using international scoring rules as follows - Two individual entries per team shall score (5-3-2-1), and one relay entry per team shall score (5-3). The competition will be scored per gender for the Blue and White teams, and then the Men's team score and Women's team scores will be combined to determine the overall winning team.

The Nittany Lion track and field program will also play host to its annual USATF Officials Clinic, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., Saturday morning.

About the USATF Officials' Clinic ...
The Nittany Lion track and field program will also play host to its annual USATF Officials Clinic, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., Saturday morning. All current and interested officials are welcome to attend, regardless of level of experience.
