UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's hockey team fell in its 2015-16 regular season home finale against College Hockey America (CHA) opponent Lindenwood, 1-0, Saturday afternoon inside the Pegula Ice Arena.

"I am certainly very proud, and continue to be proud of this senior class for all of that they continue to accomplish and do for this program both on and off the ice," head coach Josh Brandwene said. "One of the things we've talked about in the locker room is the amazing job that they do representing Penn State in the work that they do in the community, the classroom and the tone that they've set."

The Nittany Lions fall to 10-17-5 (6-7-5), while Lindenwood improves to 8-20-4 (5-9-4).

Lindenwood opened up the scoring with 3:39 left in the opening frame as Shara Jasper netted her CHA-leading 19th goal of the season to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. On the LU goal, Sarah Bobrowski found Jasper in front of the Penn State net for her 18th assist of her sophomore season.

During the second frame, both teams had two power play chances, but neither team was able to capitalize with the man-advantage.

Penn State's balanced attack tallied six shots in the first period and followed up with six shots in the second frame before posting 11 shots in the third period.

The Nittany Lions ended the game with an 11-4 shot margin in the third period, but were unable to find the back of the net during the final twenty minutes of play. With 1:28 left in the regulation, Penn State pulled goalie Hannah Ehresmann (Minnetonka Minn.) for the extra skater.

Penn State finished the game with a shot margin of 23-15. Also in the game, both teams did not covert a power play goal as Penn State went 0-for-3, while Lindenwood went 0-for-2.

In net for the Nittany Lions, Ehresmann recorded 14 saves on the afternoon, while Nicole Hensley tallied a 23-save performance for Lindenwood.

The Nittany Lions close out the 2015-16 regular season next weekend against Mercyhurst in Erie, Pa. Puck drop is set for Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.
