UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Junior Chris Nugent has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 4.43 kills per set in a 2-0 week in EIVA play for No. 7 Penn State.
In a 3-0 sweep against Harvard, Nugent had 19 kills on a .433 attacking percentage and in a 3-1 win at Sacred Heart finished with 12 kills and hit .200. This is Chris' third EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2016.
Nugent and the rest of the seventh ranked Nittany Lions return home this week as they continue their run through EVIA conference play when NJIT visits Rec Hall for a Friday February 19 match at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday match with Princeton, in Penn State's lone south gym match of the year, at 4 p.m.
