Big Ten Network to Air Seven Winter Championships

CHICAGO-- BTN will televise seven winter Big Ten Championships, including wrestling, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's indoor track and field and men's and women's gymnastics and the entire Big Ten Hockey Tournament over the next six weeks.

Information about BTN's coverage of the Big Ten Women's (March 2-6) and Men's (March 9-13) Basketball Tournaments in Indianapolis is to be announced. The Nittany Lion basketball team hosts No. 4 Iowa tonight at 6:30 p.m. on BTN. Following tonight's game at Northwestern, the Lady Lion basketball team visits Michigan on Saturday for a 12 p.m. tip on BTN.

Penn State has won 23 Big Ten Championships or Tournament titles since 2012-13, the most of any conference institution during that span. The Nittany Lions have won 96 Big Ten crowns all-time, including four so far in 2015-16.

Coverage begins with the Big Ten Women's Swimming & Diving Championships from Michigan on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. ET. The Big Ten Men's Swimming & Diving Championships will air at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 29, from Purdue. The opening night relays and preliminary rounds for both women (Feb. 17-20) and men (Feb. 24-27) can be viewed live on BTN Plus via BTN2Go.

Championship coverage continues at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 5, with the Big Ten Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships. Both the men's and women's events will take place at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, and the final day on Feb. 27 will be live streamed on BTN Plus via BTN2Go.

BTN's coverage of the Big Ten Wrestling Championships will be carried live at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 6, from Iowa City, and the first three sessions on Saturday will be streamed live on BTN Plus via BTN2Go. The unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Penn State wrestling squad hosts No. 3 Oklahoma State Sunday at 5 p.m. in the NWCA Dual Meet Championship Series title event and BTN will televise.

All five games of the Big Ten Men's Hockey Tournament will be televised live on March 17-19, including the championship game on Saturday, March 19, at 8 p.m. ET from Saint Paul, Minn. The No. 15 Penn State men's hockey team hosts Ohio State this Friday at 6:30 p.m. and BTN will televise.

Also on Saturday, March 19, BTN will televise the first session of the Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships live at noon ET, followed by the second session live at 5 p.m. ET from Nebraska. The Penn State women's gymnastics team is hosting the B1G Five Qualifier at 1 p.m. on March 12 and the meet will air live on BTN. Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Rutgers will join Penn State at the meet.

The network will also have live coverage of the Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 1 (team), and at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 2 (individual competition), from Ohio State. The March 11 Penn State's men's gymnastics dual meet with Nebraska in Rec Hall will air on BTN at 8 p.m. on March 12.
