UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -The Penn State women's gymnastics team topped Michigan State, 195.700-195.175, inside the Jenison Field House. Emma Sibson (Allen, Texas) won the vault in her season-debut Saturday afternoon.

As a team, the Nittany Lions (1-3, 1-2) won three events en route to their victory Saturday. Penn State brought home team titles on the vault, uneven bars and balance beam. Along with the team titles, the Nittany Lions also won three individual titles.

Penn State posted the second-best scores of the season across the board en route to an overall season-best team score of 195.700.

The Nittany Lions began the day with a 49.200 on the uneven bars with three Nittany Lions finishing in the top-three.

On the uneven bars, junior Kiera Brown (Newport News, Va.) tallied her second event title of the season with a score of 9.900. Also for Penn State, sophomores Briannah Tsang (Vancouver, British Columbia) and Chanen Raygoza (Upland, Calif.) tied for third with scores of 9.850.

After tallying a 49.200 on the uneven bars, the Nittany Lions went to the vault and posted a 48.750. In her season-debut, Sibson tallied a 9.825 to secure a first-place finish on the vault.

Tsang followed up her performance on the uneven bars with a 9.800 on the vault. She tied Nicole Deans of Michigan State (3-4, 1-3) for second-place in the vault standings.

In her other event of the night, Sibson led the Nittany Lions on the floor exercise with a 9.850. Sibson finished tied for second on the event. Penn State posted a team score of 48.750 on the floor.

The Nittany Lions closed out the afternoon with a 49.000 on the balance beam as Brown picked up her second event title of the day with a 9.900 on the apparatus. As a team, Penn State hit 49.000 on the balance beam.

In the all around standings, Brown finished second with a season-best 39.200 followed by freshman Sabrina Garcia (Etters, Pa.) (38.900) and Tsang (38.700).

The Nittany Lions close out their two-meet road trip next Saturday at Ohio State. Start time for the meet is slated for 4 p.m.
