STANFORD, Calif. -

The first Nittany Lion on the track was Sarah Jane Underwood who ran her way to a heat two win at 2:08.29 to finish 10th overall.

Following Underwood's performance in the 800-meters were Isaiah Harris and Jordan Makins in the same event.

Harris and Makins finished 2-3 in the first heat running times of 1:47.06 and 1:48.54. Makins time is a new personal best for the sophomore from Perth, Australia besting his previous PR of 1:48.96 by forty two one-hundredths of a second.

In the women's 1,500-meters Julie Kocjancic and Greta Lindsley turned in times of 4:25.35 and 4:28.36, respectively, finishing 7th and 11th in their heat.
