US Soccer Release
CHICAGO - Five members of the Penn State women's soccer team are set to join the U.S. Under-20 women's national team for a training camp and a pair of matches, May 21-June 1, in Papua New Guinea. Penn State leads the 21-member U.S. U-20 WNT roster with five representatives.
Rose Chandler (Atlanta, Ga.), Maddie Elliston (Omaha, Neb.), Ellie Jean (Coventry, Conn.), Emily Ogle (Strongsville, Ohio) and Kaleigh Riehl (Fairfax Station, Va.) will head to Papua New Guinea with the U.S. U-20 WNT.
Along with the training camp, the U.S. U-20 WNT is slated to play the Japan U-20 WNT on May 27 and the Papua New Guinea U-20 WNT on May 30 with both matches taking place in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Penn State women's soccer has been well-represented throughout the 2016 calendar year on the U.S. U-20 WNT as Chandler, Elliston, Ogle and Riehl will be making their third appearance at a U.S. U-20 WNT training camp. The four Nittany Lions attended U.S. U-20 training camps in Carson, Calif., in January and in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., in April and they competed for the Red, White and Blue in La Manga, Spain, in March.
Jean joined the Nittany Lion quartet for the 2016 La Manga Tournament in March and also took part in the week-long training camp in April.
