Eight Nittany Lions Take Part in NHL Camps

June 29, 2016

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Eight current or former Penn State men's hockey players will skate at NHL Development Camps this summer. Returning players Zach Saar, Vince Pedrie and Chase Berger, along with freshmen Nikita Pavlychev and Brandon Biro will each participate, as well as former Nittany Lions Luke Juha, Eamon McAdam and Eric Scheid.

With the exception of McAdam and Scheid, each Nittany Lion is making his first appearance at a NHL camp. McAdam is a New York Islanders draft pick and has previously participated in their camp each of the last three years, while Scheid is with the Florida Panthers this summer and is taking part in his third-consecutive development camp. He worked out with the Anaheim Ducks last summer and with the Minnesota Wild in 2014.
