Oct. 17, 2016
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa – The Penn State women's basketball team has announced the cancellation of its Nov. 22 home contest vs. St. Bonaventure. The cancellation is due to the site move and date changes for the San Juan Shootout, which will be played Nov. 24-25 in Daytona Beach, Florida. The St. Bonaventure game will not be made up during the 2016-17 season, but will be re-scheduled for a later date.
The Lady Lions will travel to St. Bonaventure during the 2017-18 season, with the Bonnies making a return trip to Happy Valley in 2018-19. Game dates will be finalized at a later time.
Season ticket holders will receive complimentary ticket vouchers equal to the number of season tickets on their account. The voucher is valid for any regular season Penn State women's basketball game at the Bryce Jordan Center and will provide a free ticket in any sideline or baseline section, subject to availability. The voucher is not valid for courtside tickets.
All single game ticket purchasers will receive a refund issued to the original method of payment.
Statement from Penn State Athletics
Due to the site move and date change for the San Juan Shootout, it is necessary to reschedule our meeting with St. Bonaventure for another season. After surveying all of the available options and taking in to account our student-athlete's welfare, Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics in consultation with St. Bonaventure has made the decision to cancel the women's basketball game vs. St. Bonaventure on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Penn State Athletics would like to extend its deepest thanks to the St. Bonaventure athletics department and women's basketball program for their flexibility and understanding in this unforeseen scheduling matter. We look forward to competing with the Bonnies on the court in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
