TEAM
- Penn State defeated a Top 2 team for the first time since winning at #1 Notre Dame, 24-21, in 1990.

- WR DaeSean Hamilton had one catch, moving into sole possession of sixth place on the career catches chart with 145 receptions, breaking a tie with Derek Moye (2008-11). Just ahead of him is Jordan Norwood with 158 catches.
- Hamilton has had a catch in 33 consecutive games.
- Hamilton's 34 receiving yards tonight give him 1,717 for his career, which puts him in 14th place at Penn State. He trails Derrick Williams (1,743 yards) for 13th place.
-WR Chris Godwin's two catches give him 119 in his career. This moved him into sole possession of eighth place on the career catches chart, breaking a tie with Jack Curry (1965-67). Next up is O.J. McDuffie with 125 catches.
- RB Saquon Barkley had 99 yards tonight, giving him 1,757 for his career, and moving him up to 19th place in the Penn State annals. He trails Franco Harris (2,002 yards) for 18th place.
- The eight completions tonight by the Nittany Lions are the fewest by Penn State since having seven last year at Ohio State.

DEFENSE
- The Nittany Lion defense had a season-high 11.0 tackles for loss. It was also the most TFLs for Penn State since Maryland (11.0) last season.
- The 11.0 tackles for loss are the most yielded by the Buckeyes since giving up 11.0 TFL vs. Alabama on Jan. 1, 2015.
- The 6.0 sacks given up by Ohio State are the most since yielding 7.0 against Virginia Tech on Sept. 6, 2014.
- LB Brandon Bell had a career-high 19 tackles. His previous high was 13 against Ohio State in 2014.
- LB Manny Bowen had a career-high 11 tackles. He notched 7 earlier this season vs. Minnesota.
- DE Garrett Sickels had career highs in tackles (9), sacks (2.5) and tackles for loss (3.5). His previous highs were eight tackles at Ohio State last year, 1.0 sack (6 times, last vs. Maryland earlier this season) and 2.0 TFL against Maryland earlier this year.
- LB Jason Cabinda tied his career high with 2.0 tackles for loss, equaling the mark he had against Army last season.
- DT Curtis Cothran made his first career start tonight, the 14th different Nittany Lion to make his first start this season.
SPECIAL TEAMS
- Penn State last blocked a field goal in the four overtime victory vs. Michigan in 2013 (Kyle Baublitz).
- Penn State has not returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown since at least 1982.
- Penn State's blocked punt tonight was the first by the Nittany Lions since Von Walker blocked a punt vs. Michigan last season.
- Penn State had not blocked two kicks of any type in a single game since blocking two against Florida International in the 2007 season opener (a field goal and a punt).
- S Marcus Allen had the first blocked field goal of his career.
- CB Grant Haley returned the first blocked field goal for a touchdown of his career.
- P Blake Gillikin's punt in the first quarter marked his sixth punt inside the 10-yard line this season.
- K Tyler Davis had his consecutive field goals streak snapped at 18 when his 39-yard attempt was blocked on the opening drive of the game. It is the longest streak in school history and ranks tied for fourth in Big Ten history.
