NFHCA Poll
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Closing out the regular season with a win at home against Indiana Friday night, Penn State remained the No. 6 team in the nation in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll released Tuesday afternoon.
Penn State (14-2, 6-2 B1G) is coming off a 3-2 win over Big Ten foe Indiana at Field Hockey Complex.
Duke (15-2) remained the top team this week receiving 37 first-place votes to hold their same spot from last week.
Defending national champion Syracuse (14-2) remained the No. 2 team receiving one first-place vote.
Maryland (15-3) moved to the No. 3 team receiving one first-place vote.
UConn (18-1) checks in at No. 4 receiving two first-place votes, while North Carolina (15-4) holds steady at No. 5 spot receiving one first-place vote.
Penn State is set to face Indiana this Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Maryland in College Park, MD.
