A total of 30 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 20 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

In Week 10 of the NFL season, former Nittany Lion pass catchers enjoyed big days. Allen Robinson had his first 100-yard receiving game of the season in a narrow loss to the Texans, while Jesse James' Steelers nearly dealt Sean Lee and Jack Crawford's Cowboys their second loss of the season, as James dramatic catch with one minute remaining setup a go-ahead touchdown for the Steelers. Lee made nine tackles in the game. Gerald Hodges was another Linebacker U alum to post a strong performance, hauling in an interception for the 49ers. Unfortunately, Michael Mauti announced that he will be out for the remainder of the season as he undergoes treatment for ulcerative colitis.

Deion Barnes (2012-14), LB, Kansas City Chiefs

Barnes is on the Chiefs' practice squad.

Bowman is out for the season with a torn Achilles.

Carter is on the Vikings' practice squad.

Crawford started and assisted on one tackle.

Garry Gilliam (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks

Gilliam blocked for Russell Wilson, who threw for 348 yards in the Seahawks win over the Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

Hackenberg was inactive for Week 10.

Hali assisted on two tackles against the Panthers.

Chris Hogan (men's lacrosse 2007-10), WR, New England Patriots

Hogan started for the Patriots on Sunday Night Football and was targeted three times.

Hodges started for the 49ers and had an interception in the fourth quarter. He also had six solo tackles against the Cardinals.

James started for the Steelers and had four receptions for 59 yards, his longest for 24 yards

Jones started for the Titans and recorded two tackles, one of which was a sack of Aaron Rodgers for a loss of 10 yards in the first quarter.

Johnson assisted on one tackle against the Packers.

Sean Lee (2005-07, 2009), MLB, Dallas Cowboys

Lee started for the Cowboys and had nine tackles, six of which were solo.

Robinson had nine receptions for 107 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Robinson's reception for 19 yards was also the longest play of the game for the Jaguars.

Shipley started against the 49ers and protected Carson Palmer as he threw for 376 yards in the win.

Smith started for the Buccaneers in their defeat of the Bears. He helped protect Jameis Winston as he threw for 312 yards.
