  • The Lady Lions are 28-16 all-time against the Spartans, winning the last meeting, 65-61, in East Lansing on Feb. 11, 2016.
  • Fourty-four of the 45 meeting between the two schools have come as members of the Big Ten Conference.
  • The first meeting came on Dec. 20, 1991 - the year before Penn State offciailly began competition in the Big Ten - at Penn State, with the Lady Lions earning an 82-55 victory.
  • Michigan State won the first meeting last season, 71-55 , at the Bryce Jordan Center, before Penn State rallied from 14 points down to claim a 65-61 decision in East Lansing.

  • Michigan State enters the meeting at 18-9 overall and 8-6 in Big Ten play. The Spartans have won two-straight games, including an 86-68 win at No. 20 Michigan on Sunday.
  • The Spartans own a plus-7.9 scoring margin and are plus-6.4 on the boards, but own a minus-2.0 deficit in turnover margin. Michigan State turns the ball over 16.6 times per game to just 14.6 for its opponents.
  • Michigan State sits No. 12 nationally and No. 2 in the Big Ten with 18.0 assists per game. The Spartans are assisting on 67 percent of their baskets with 18.0 assists per game on 26.9 made field goals per game.
  • Senior Tori Jankoska leads the Spartans in scoring average (22.3), rebounds per game (8.1), assists (142), steals (45).
  • Jankoska also paces the team in every shooting category. She has made 198 field goals - 99 from 3-point range - and is 108-of-119 from the free throw line. She is shooting.
  • Freshman Taryn McCutcheon sits No. 4 in the Big Ten with 5.2 assists per game and is No. 4 in the conference with a 2.31 assist-turnover ratio.
  • Senior Branndais Agee ranks No. 2 on the team with 9.5 points, while graduate student Taya Reimer is No. 3 on the squad at 9.4 points per game.

  • Penn State is 4-1 in its last five games, including four-straight victories. That record also includes a 2-1 mark in road contests.
  • The Blue and White have owned the boards in the last five games, grabbing 44.4 rebounds per game. The opposition is corralling 36.6 boards, giving Penn State a plus-7.8 edge.

  • Lindsey Spann led the team with 15 points and in the process moved up two spots on the career scoring list. Spann passed Ariel Edwards (1,054, 2011-14) and Nancy Kuhl (1,061, 1976-79) to move into No. 33 on the list with 1,063 tallies.
  • Sierra Moore poured in 14 points for her 16th double-figure scoring game of the season.
  • Moore added a team-high-tying nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in the game.
  • Teniya Page produced her 10th-straight double-digit scoring game and 48th of her career with 14 points.
  • Page moved into the No. 39 spot on the career scoring list, passing Dana Eikenberg (952, 1989-92) and ending the night with 956 points.
  • Page also ticked up one spot on the career assist charts with six helpers vs. Illinois, moving her career total to 227 and vaulting past Carol Fultz (224, 1982-84) for No. 23 all-time.
  • Adding to Page's night was a career-high nine rebounds, to push her career total to 203.
  • Kaliyah Mitchell also reached double-figures with 11 points, adding nine rebounds.
  • The Lady Lions out-rebounded the Illini 51-28, marking the most rebounds in a game since corralling 62 boards vs. Northwestern last season on Dec. 31, 2015.
  • Making eight 3-pointers, Penn State posted its 11th game this year with eight-or-more made triples.
  • The eight makes from distance give Penn State 170 for the season, which ranks No. 6 on the single season charts. The Lady Lions are just two shy of entering the top-5 in school history, as the 2000-01 squad knocked in 172 triples, which currently sits in the No. 5 spot.

Last Meeting - Penn State 65, Michigan State 61 (Feb. 11, 2016)

  • Teniya Page posted her fifth 20-point game of 2015-16 with 20 tallies.
  • Page moved up one spot to No. 8 on the Penn State freshman scoring list, ending the night with 379 points, passing Alex Bentley (365, 2009-10).
  • With four assists, Page moved her season total to 91 helpers.
  • Brianna Banks' 16 points moved her past the 700 career point mark, with 292 of those coming while donning the blue and white.
  • Peyton Whitted pulled down her 400th career rebound in the first quarter, ending the night with seven rebounds.
  • Candice Agee notched her seventh double figure scoring game of 2015-16 with 10 points.
  • Agee added two more blocked shots to move her career total to 114 swats. The two blocks also marked her 32nd career games with multiple blocks.
  • Penn State rallied from a double-digit deficit to win for the second time in 2015-16 (at Illinois, 1/23/16), rallying from 14 points down with 7:25 to play in the third quarter to earn the win.
  • The win was the first for Penn State over a ranked opponent on the road since Jan. 30, 2014 when the Lady Lions defeated No. 16/19 Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind.
  • The Lady Lions scored a season-high 27 points off turnovers.
