Penn State Falls To Kentucky 6-1

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 4, 2017ââ'¬" The Penn State women's tennis team performed strong, but was unable to secure the win against Kentucky. Katia Blik (Moscow, Russia) won her singles match 6-4, 6-3, picking up a point for Penn State.

Head coach Chris Cagle commented on the team's loss. "Today was our most complete match of the season even though we didn't come out with a W. We played well and were competitive on almost every court. Today's match is definitely going to serve us well moving forward to taking on Pitt next Sunday."

Penn State was unable to collect the extra doubles point, falling in all three doubles matches.

The Nittany Lions return to the Sarni Tennis Center next Sunday, February 12, when they take on Pittsburgh at 12:00p.m. This will be the sixth and final matchup in a six-game home stand to start off the spring season.
