GoPSUsports.com: How did Penn State prepare you?

TW: I learned a lot at Penn State. Like that bad pizza can be dipped in ranch dressing and taste pretty good and that a 120 yard sprint isn't a lap around the field. More importantly I guess, I learned how important the details are. The smallest of things make the biggest difference in life and that's something I have taken with me in everything I do, everywhere I go. Focusing on the big picture all the time isn't always the best pathway to getting there. I think that's part of the reason, I'm still able to play the game I love every day.

GoPSUsports.com: Favorite memory as a Nittany Lion?

TW: My favorite memory as a Nittany Lion is the Elite Eight win against Santa Clara my senior year (2005) to go to the Final Four. I felt like every single player gave every single ounce of everything they had that night. Plus that was the last game I ever played on Jeffrey Field…I'll never forget that. My second favorite memory is doing work with Carmelina Moscato at the Cybertorium on weekends, while everyone else was out.

GoPSUsports.com: What are you currently up to?

TW: I recently finished a season in Sweden and just signed with the Boston Breakers in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). I'll be going into my 10th year as a professional player. I just launched a new company called Duktig Brand which makes products for coaches and players to better organize and plan. I'm writing blogs still on my personal website (www.tiffanyweimer.com) and coaching kids here and there.
