UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State baseball will play at Delaware this weekend, competing in a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon before finishing the series as scheduled starting at 1 p.m. Sunday in Bob Hannah Stadium.
The addition of a game at Delaware will make up one of the two games originally scheduled to be played at Penn State's Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Thursday and Friday. Those games were canceled due to inclement weather.
RHP Sal Biasi (Hazle Township, Pa.) and RHP Justin Hagenman (Voorhees, N.J.) are both expected to start Saturday, while freshman RHP Cole Bartels (Belmont, Mass.) is expected to make his second career start Sunday.
Anyone with a ticket to the canceled Thursday and/or Friday games can redeem their voucher at the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park box office for a future home baseball contest of their choice.
The cancelations mark the first at home for Penn State since 2015.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 4-3 record during their week in California, with series wins over both Pacific and Sacramento State. It marks Penn State's first winning spring break trip since 2011, and its six wins overall are the most in the first 14 games since 2011. The squad is scheduled to take on Delaware in a four-game home-and-home series starting Thursday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
