CHICAGO, Ill.
- No. 13 Penn State dropped its final match of the weekend 3-1 (17-25, 18-25, 25-22, 14-25) Saturday night in Gentile Arena in non-conference action on the road.

In a 2-0 hole at the break, Penn State put together its best set of the night hitting .200 and recording 13 kills during the set to extend the game with a 25-22 set win.

Set four saw the Nittany Lions stick around early before ultimately falling 25-14 to Loyola who took the match 3-1 at home.


Jalen Penrose led the Lions with 11 kills on 28 attempts while adding seven digs and two blocks.


Nathan Smith led Penn State with 31 assist, adding one kill as well, while Matt Callaway led the Lions in blocks on the night with three.


Royce Clemens led the team in digs recording 10 followed closely by the aforementioned Penrose who posted at seven.


Penn State returns to the court Tuesday night as they host Ohio State with a first serve slated for 7 p.m. in Rec Hall set to broadcast on BTN Plus.
