GAINESVILLE, Fla. -
Penn State concluded action at the 2017 Florida Relays with a school record performance by the women's 4x800-meter relay.

Marissa Sheva, Julie Kocjancic, Frances Bull and Danae Rivers combined to run a time of 8:38.17, erasing the old school record of 8:39.44 set by Caitlin Lane, Bekka Simko, Kalyn Fisher and Maura Ryan in 2011.

The old school record included a women's soccer player (Maura Ryan) as does the new record with Marissa Sheva who completed her sophomore season of Nittany Lion soccer this past fall and was a member of the 2015 NCAA Championship team.

The new school record time would have ranked No. 1 in the NCAA heading into this weekend's meet.

For the men, the quartet of Bobby Hill, Domenic Perretta, Jordan Makins and Isaiah Harris posted a time of 7:18.70 that ranks No. 10 in program history.

Penn State will travel to LSU for the Battle on the Bayou Apr. 8 in Baton Rouge, LA.
