STANFORD, Calif. - Penn State wrapped up competition in the Stanford Invitational Friday night from Cobb Track & Angell Field where a group of athletes competed in the 5,000-meters.
Kathryn Munks got things started for Penn State on their west coast swing posting a third-place finish in her heat running a personal best of 16:28.57 in the 5K.
Jillian Hunsberger finished the 12.5 lap race with a new outdoor personal best in the race running a time of 16:06.21, just over five seconds off her all-time personal best of 16:01.90 from this past indoor season.
Timothy McGowan represented the Nittany Lion men in the 5K posting an outdoor personal best of his own with his time of 14:08.40 falling just over four seconds off his all-time personal best from this past indoor season as well.
