WTEN Falls To Nebraska, 5-2

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; April 8, 2017ââ'¬" The Penn State women's tennis team earned two singles victories, but was unable to secure the win against Nebraska at the Dillon Tennis Center Friday night. Senior Katia Blik and freshman Shannon Hanley completed their matches in straight sets. Blik defeated Vasanti Shinde in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Shannon Hanley beat Lisa Andersson 6-2, 6-4.

Penn State was unable to collect the extra doubles point from the Huskers, falling in all three doubles matches.

Action continues on the road tomorrow April 9, when Penn State takes on Iowa. First serve is set to being at 11:00a.m ET. Iowa is coming off a 7-0 loss against Ohio State.
