MSOC Signs Molloy for 2017 Season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The men's soccer team added its seventh signee of the 2017 class when it inked transfer Aaron Molloy as announced head coach Bob Warming.

The complete incoming class consists of Ethan Beckford (Aurora, Ontario/St. Maximillian Colbe CHS/Toronto FC),Mikey Conneh (Sheffield, Yorkshire/Meadowhead School/Sheffield Wednesday), Ryan Holland (Loughborough, England/Feather River Junior College/Grantham Town FC), Aaron Molloy (Dublin, Ireland/Keiser University/Bohemian FC) Kyle Perno (New Hyde Park, N.Y./UC Santa Barbara/New York Redbulls Academy), Callum Pritchatt (Birmingham, England/Sandwell Academy/Bromwich Albion) and Nick Rieple (Mayfield Ohio/Lake Catholic/CSA Impact).

"Aaron is a terrific young man with a great ideas in the game, said Warming. "Everyone I talked to about Aaron thinks the world of him. He is driven to be his best in everything he does. We want to help him continue in that progression here at Penn State and in return he can help us win championships."

Molloy transfers to Penn State from Keiser University where he spent one season with the Seahawks. The 5'11" center midfielder played in and started 15 matches in his freshman season en route to Sun Conference Freshman of the Year and second team all-conference honors. Prior to his time at Keiser, Molloy was named captain of the Bohemians and earned Bohemian U19 Player of the Year honors in the 2016 season. He was also capped as an Irish Youth International in various age groups and was listed by the league as a rising star.

Most recently, Molloy scored two goal in his PDL league while scoring the game-winning goal against the New York Red Bulls a week ago.
