- Barkley's 53 receiving yards give him 448 this season, which betters his own single season receiving yardage record for a running back at Penn State. Last season, he had 402 receiving yards in 14 games.
- With his 108 rushing yards, Barkley has 3,329 rushing yards in his career, the most rushing yards by a Penn State player in his first three seasons. The previous high was Curtis Enis with 3,256 yards.
- Barkley's 3,329 career rushing yards moves him up to third place at Penn State, passing Tony Hunt (3,320); Blair Thomas (3,301); Curtis Enis (3,256); and D.J. Dozier (3,227). He trails Curt Warner (3,398) for second place.
- With two catches, TE Mike Gesicki has a catch in 21 consecutive games.
- With 52 receiving yards, Gesicki moved into 21st place on Penn State's career receiving yards list with 1,146 yards. He passed Eddie Drummond (1,132; 1998-2001) for the position.
- WR DaeSean Hamilton finished with 115 yards for his seventh career 100-yard receiving game to ranked tied for fifth in program history with O.J. McDuffie (1988-92).
- Hamilton's 115 receiving yards tonight give him 2,466 for his career, which is good for fourth place at Penn State, passing Derek Moye (2,395) and Chris Godwin (2,421). He trails tie Allen Robinson for third by eight yards (2,474).
DEFENSE
- CB Christian Campbell forced his second career fumble in the fourth quarter on a strip-sack of John O'Korn.
- The O'Korn sack was the first of Campbell's career.
- S Marcus Allen had six tackles tonight, giving him 290 for his career and moving him into seventh place at Penn State. Allen trails Mike Hull (294) for sixth place.
- LB Jason Cabinda forced his second career fumble in the third quarter with a strip of Michigan QB John O'Korn on a rush.
- Cabinda posted his eighth career double-digit tackle performance with 13 stops.
- DT Robert Windsor recovered the fumble caused by Campbell. It is his second career fumble recovery (Pittsburgh, 2016).
- DT Kevin Givens had a career-high four tackles. His previous best mark was three tackles on four previous occasions.

- DE Ryan Buchholz tied his career high with four tackles, equaling the mark he set against Akron in the season opener.
